Our Commitment to You

Safety & Medical Oversight

People trust us to start IVs on them. We take that responsibility seriously. Here is everything you need to know about how VYV Wellness is structured, supervised, and committed to your safety — every single session.

⚕️
Medical Director
Licensed MD / DO Oversight

VYV Wellness operates under the formal supervision of a licensed physician. All treatment protocols are physician-reviewed, approved, and signed before any client receives care.

Every Session is Physician Approved

VYV Wellness is not just a nurse with a bag of saline. Every IV therapy protocol, every approved medication, every add-on and dosage parameter is established, reviewed, and formally authorized by our supervising Medical Director — a licensed physician (MD or DO) in the State of Illinois.

📝
Physician-Signed Standing Orders
Our nurse operates under formal standing orders co-signed by our Medical Director. These orders define exactly which IV formulations can be administered, at what doses, at what rates, and under what conditions. Nothing is improvised.
🔄
Annual Protocol Review
Standing orders and treatment protocols are reviewed and renewed annually — or sooner if there is a significant change in services, personnel, or clinical guidelines. Our standards evolve with the science.
📞
Direct MD Escalation Path
If any clinical situation falls outside the parameters of our standing orders, our nurse is required to contact the Medical Director before proceeding. You are never in a situation where care is being improvised outside of established medical guidelines.
🗂
Collaborative Practice Agreement
Our nurse and Medical Director maintain a formal collaborative practice agreement in compliance with Illinois state law and the Illinois Nurse Practice Act. This is not optional — it is legally required and actively maintained.

Our Clinical Standards

Every VYV session is built around the same clinical standards you would expect from a licensed medical facility — delivered in the comfort of your home.

👩‍⚕️

RN-Administered Only

Every VYV session is administered exclusively by a licensed Registered Nurse with an active, unrestricted Illinois nursing license. No unlicensed personnel ever performs clinical tasks.

📋

Pre-Treatment Screening

Before every session your nurse reviews your health history form, verifies allergies, checks vital signs (blood pressure, heart rate, SpO2), and clinically confirms you are an appropriate candidate for IV therapy that day.

🧪

Medical Grade Ingredients

We use only pharmaceutical-grade IV fluids, vitamins, and additives sourced from licensed suppliers. All supplies are single-use and checked for expiration before every session. No shortcuts, ever.

🔬

Aseptic Technique

Every IV insertion follows strict aseptic technique. Hands are sanitized, insertion sites are prepped with antiseptic, and appropriate personal protective equipment is worn throughout. Sharps are disposed of in certified sharps containers per Illinois regulations.

👁

Active Monitoring

Your nurse monitors you throughout the entire infusion — checking the IV site, drip rate, and your comfort level regularly. You are never left unattended during your session.

🚨

Emergency Preparedness

Our nurse carries emergency response supplies to every appointment and is trained in adverse event management. In the unlikely event of a reaction, our nurse is fully equipped to respond — including contacting emergency services if needed.

Our Pre-Treatment Process

Every client goes through the same clinical screening process before a single drop of IV fluid is administered. No exceptions.

1

Health History Review

Your completed health intake form is reviewed in full — medications, allergies, medical conditions, and surgical history.

2

Allergy Verification

All known allergies are verbally confirmed and cross-referenced against every substance in your ordered drip. If an allergy is identified, the session does not proceed.

3

Vital Signs Check

Blood pressure, heart rate, oxygen saturation, and temperature are assessed and documented before the IV is placed.

4

Clinical Clearance

Your nurse makes a clinical judgment that IV therapy is appropriate and safe for you that day. If there is any concern, your nurse has the authority — and responsibility — to delay or decline the session.

Contraindications & Eligibility

IV therapy is not appropriate for everyone. For your safety, VYV Wellness will not administer IV therapy to clients with the following conditions. Our nurse screens for all of these during your pre-treatment assessment.

If you have a condition not listed here that you are unsure about, please contact us before booking. We would rather have that conversation upfront than discover a concern at the time of your appointment. Your safety always comes first.
